Looking for opinions on video making software - Camtasia, fraps, powerpoint recording, editing etc... as many alternatives as possible and opinions on value … looking for free but also paid for with features that justify.... best thing for tutorial videos... best for high-end graphics demo... etc...
Linux is more suitable for free, Kazam is good quality and free of charge as almost everything on Linux. Anyways here is a nice link for Linux enthusiastics:??https://itsfoss.com/best-linux-screen-recorders/ This is thinking you want to record your screen, but for editing video: https://itsfoss.com/best-video-editing-software-linux/
@Evan Kirstel pointed me at?https://blog.drumup.io/blog/incorporating-video-in-content-marketing-effective/ which has some good data, arguments for using video if you are trying to justify the cost of software to your boss I thought...
I'd vote for Camtasia. It's pretty reliable, easy to use and intuitive. I have tries to use Cyberlink PowerDirector, which is supposed to be consumer grade, and I find it impenetrable.
Mirren Fischer what’s your current weapon of choice?
Bob Stone any suggestions for AR/VR?

Recommend Camtasia for something quick and simple, does the job and it doesn’t cost a fortune!
I use quicktime screen recorder and then edit in iMovie. ?All cost free if a little clunky at times. ?Works fine though.
