My response to Andy Raskin's comment about Drift being "more of a reality TV show" than a company doing "content marketing":
Great points Dave. These points are alot of the reasons we at Journi created the Signature Vlog Series as a service/package in the first place.? It's exciting to find our clients that like drift, just? "get it"? and then grow with them to bring that authentic story to life? on a consistent basis ?( journi.co/svsthankyou )?
The practice of being honest with yourself, customers and employees -? based on the idea that the best marketing is to embrace a meaningful mission and deliver to the best of a firm's abilities.??Thank You Dave. There are several takeaways!? I am going to copy-paste? Andy Raskin's comment here :-? Of all the great takeaways here, my favorite—and most revealing about Drift's approach—is "as I'm walking and getting my greens in".?
Bro, you and David Cancel?need to get a video stabilization mount for your phone. My buddy Eskil Nordhaug?made one but is currently out of stock.
I agree, and am an avid Drift-er. I respect the courage to get in front of the camera and be such a public advocate. I think more than anything, what's important about these human gestures is accountability. A human, on a real street, with a real (spinach?) smoothie, feels way more accountable than the most polished ad. That accountability breeds trust. Well done. Miles Kane?
At Olapic, we help brands collect and display UGC to create contextually rich shopping experience. Seeing images of real people using real products in the real world creates an authentic connection with the brand and the product. I spoke at SXSW on this very topic "Trust, Cogency & Authenticity in an Anti-Ad World"
Super agreed Dave! Be authentic, be real and be human. Everything else will follow.
Nailed it, well said my friend.
