How is it that one person's Education section has a hot link to the Golden Gate University school page, whereas another's -- with the school name spelled exactly the same -- has a "gray ghost" icon/logo that, when clicked, yields over 78 thousand people results, and NO school page? I'll answer in the next article I publish here.? BREAKING NEWS: Article published?https://lnkd.in/gHH9-7Q Do you know already?? A word of warning: clicking on "gray ghost" logos is not something you want to do a lot of, as it can exhaust your Mysterious Monthly Maximum of "commercial use." In other words, those icon-driven searches returning masses of records eat up your allotment of people browsing if you have a free or lowest-level paid membership.? #publishing?#education?#universities?#howto?

Sid Clark - Maybe people are waiting for your wisdom? Since you asked: Yes, I have seen this before. It happens with schools as well as companies. One sometimes must wait for a few seconds for the auto-fill in completes. The entry must match the organization exactly as it is registered in LinkedIn. It does get tricky if there are multiple - sub-campuses or divisions. Same thing happens when using the "@" to mention companies or individuals. Best to always double-check what the auto-complete selects - and choose wisely.
Thanks for sharing this Sid!
If they don't choose the school from the list, you simply get all the other people who have done the same. Same with companies.
Thanks to John Marrett, Ann Rischiotto, Susan C., Ako Kasahara, @Jared J. WIESE?and Wendy Schoen?for the early "likes."? No guesses on what's happening here?
