The Difference Between Nigeria & Iran I think some countries need to sit down and rethink why they are the way they are. Nigeria needs to! In the past three weeks, I've had online meet-ups?with some Nigerians using internet video/audio calls such as WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom, & Google Hangouts. I can only imagine the experience I've had recently calling Nigeria on these platforms from the UK. Torture & Torture & Torture! I've also had some calls with an associate in Iran recently. Men, the connectivity had no single blink or any hitches. Just smooth! Every?country has the access and opportunities to the same market to buy and install the same equipment, but Nigeria deliberately decides to install the best reception equipment. Can I ask anyone who cares to give me an answer, "Why are we like this?" Why? Why? Why? Thank you Nigeria, keep up your good works!? KEEP IT UP! Lol! Did anyone have a different experience with Nigeria's connectivity?

There are some telecom companies with good network reception while some are very terrible especially the GSM network providers. Here most people have 2 sims for different network because you can’t rely on one network. So it’s come down to funding and the regulators to ensure their companies meet up to world class standard. We have 1 major challenge that affect all businesses in Nigeria, the issue of power (electricity). This why the cost of doing business here is much more expensive as compared to Iran. Most of all the telecom mast station are powered by generators which they have to run 24 hour a day. Nigeria has more population as compared to Iran, which mean they would need to have more sub stations in other to serve the population demands. I think we would do better if some of these challenges facing the telecom industry are addressed.

well my experience is different have lived in nigeria all my life and have also live in other countries we are not as bad as we use our mouth to run down the country as an IT person and from my background it’s all depend on what the person you are calling can afford you pay more your connectivity is better and you pay less your connectivity is horrible it’s a perfect example of united state internet throttle but it’s all comes down to what individual priority is pay more or pay less but if it’s a bout policy yes the brainless senators and members of reps are the nation number one enemy they never makes laws that favours the citizens only what comes to their pocket after making the law i favour of foreign companies and we sit down fold our arms blame the executives, executives doesn’t make the law the thieves in senate and house of reps did so please let’s take the blame to the right door! thank you

John, Yes I have had the same torture with connectivity. The answer is that we are who we are. We don't solve problems quickly. We like to suffer a long time before solving a problem. Question is why do we like that? Still looking for the answer. I recently had an issue with a Nigerian Airline. They cancelled London route. No info. Thank God som1 told me. They kept promising to put me on another airline. After 3wks of no result, no 1 calling me, i booked Kenya Airways & was in Nigeria 2 days later. I went to their office for refund, met other passengers either hanging in Nigeria and could not return or asking for refund too like my case. Now this is where i am going. While i was there, there was chaos, complains left right and centre so i asked the complaining passengers, let's add all our voices supported with with evidence of ticket and take the complain to the senate. Many of them declined and they were still moaning after that. Same thing with connectivity & power do you think power generation is difficult? Nope. Nigeria is celebrating 7KMGW after decades when Germany did more than 3x of that through renewable sources in 1 year alone and we have sun, wind etc more than them. We do nothing until the prob is too much.

Sir, i can bet that what you experience is no where close to Turture. Just try come stay in Nigeria for one day then you would experience what real Turture is when it comes to Network reception/connectivity. Then you will also understand why people go about their businesses with multiple phones.
