You'd think that doing a number of projects in a short span of time would be a huge accomplishment, no? Not in the eyes of my mentor or in the eyes of many people in fact. I talk a lot about coping strategies to deal with Impostor Syndrome, but after I had that conversation I could feel the impostor in me kicking in at that very moment.? Maybe my mentor was right. I do need to focus on one thing at a time. Somehow the phrase Jack of All Trades, Master of None started ringing in my years. It has been drilled in our minds that we need to focus on one target in hand, one market, one strength, one speciality and that those who tend to pursue many passions are seen as either fickle, over-ambitious or confused. What if there are people who really are good at a number of things? For years, I have been struggling to create a niche for myself. I have been trying to convince myself, this is what I should too if I really wish to distinguish myself. I am a Trainer, A Coach, A Blogger, A podcaster, An author, A social worker, A speaker, A change maker, A project manager, An event manager, A great cook, A mom, A wife. I can’t help but wonder if the world can benefit from people like me. -?Hira Ali?in conversation #ConnectingBeyond? Bringing you the conversations behind the coffees...
I had always travelled the road that fulfils me. Therefore I am a proud Jack of All. I don't let this define me instead I choose to focus on strengths of ambitions, strategy, and responsibility to better define me.

Hey - I love this. Thanks for sharing Alexandra Galviz (Authentic Alex). Hira Ali - you've got this. Our next #LinkedInLocal Newcastle Event topic in April is Imposter Syndrome, so really looking forward to hearing and sharing stories around this.
Hira ???? this post is so true.
It seems you were in my head talking! Alexandra Galviz (Authentic Alex) and Hira Ali behavior experts use a term to define people like us called 'Scanners' :) Loved reading this, thank you!
Thanks for sharing my story Alexandra Galviz (Authentic Alex) It was an honor to have this conversation with you! I am truly humbled by all the encouraging comments. I am so glad to see that my story resonated with so many people :)
I've wondered for years if my many passions was a sign that I wasn't focused enough in what I should be doing or that I lacked some sort of self-discipline that others seemed to have. I'm so glad to hear that more people feel the same way I do.
