Big MISTAKE. Loyal employees are often treated worse because they are loyal and thus would not go anywhere. Big mistake. Just because someone is loyal does not mean they can't reach a point of no return. Loyal people quit before they resign, when they had enough. Never push loyal people to the point where they don't care. Think twice about losing them because your own future depends on them. Short post which explains why: https://lnkd.in/dHtKsbw

I totally agree with you, my boss chokes, swear at his staff to keep them loyal to him, no respect for his staff.

Not having opportunities to learn, exclusive and micromanagement turns the good employees to bad employees.

True word. "Loyal people quit before they resign". This is what happened to me. I quit in January and resigned in July as a teacher.Still looking for a job.I am a hardworking Msc.graduate in Exploration Geophysics, though don't much experience on that but I am open to any new opportunities. I am a fast learner and very creative if trained and given an opportunity in any field.

Loyalty is often mistaken by management for oblivious unfortunately, this pushes the greatest people into survival mode until they find a way out. Indeed they quit before they resign. Amazing post !

Because some bosses take good and loyal employees for granted thinking they will not walk out of the door. It caused the Organization a big price when this loyal employee eventually leaves.

Just noticed this veeery old post, but still decided to throw in few words: reason of such attitude is very simple, risk to loose loyal employees is small, that is why employers usually decide to focus on higher priority issues: to keep not-so-loyal-employees, hoping to focus on loyal employees afterwards. So, it is a matter of *priorities*. Unfortunately, this “afterwards” quite often is being converted in “never” - and this is a problem.
