Love being included in LinkedIn's #YouAsked series. Here's my answer on the best way to enter your career whether or not you went to college: Go work for somebody that you want to be like or get close to, for free, for a year. There's just no better opportunity on earth. It's the number one strategy today for anybody graduating from or not going to college. If you are under 25 years old and are deciding how you want to jump into your professional career, the number one thing I would encourage you to do is work for the person that you want to be in 20 years. And if that means you have to take little to no money, do it. The reason being, is that the “A players” of the world are the ones that create change. So if you go work for an "A player"?in PR, in video creation, as a writer, or as someone who gets coffee or answers emails, you will be at an advantage. One year later, you will be seven years ahead if your ambition is to be in that world. The closer you are to the person making decisions, the more you will learn through serendipity and osmosis, and the much further along you will be. Wishing you all the best of luck,? -G

6 年Gary, I have done exactly this several times in my adult life. Though usually in durations of 14 - 30 days (durring my schedualed vacation time) under experts in different facets of my industry. It has given me incredible value and insights. Keep crushing it Gary !!!
