School to Work Campaign Launch: A few snaps from the launch of the School to Work campaign at the The British Museum. It was an honour to be given the opportunity to present to 150+ young people and professionals from across the #media, #education, #government, #charity, #public and #private sectors. The School to Work campaign aims to embed an accredited School to Work Framework into the curriculum so that every young person aged 9 to 18 is better prepared for the world of work. It will increase engagement between employers and schools and develop the core skills young people need to thrive in the modern workplace, and understand the diversity of routes into work. As Co-chair of the National Youth Panel, I’ll be working alongside my fellow panel members to ensure the views of young people are at the heart of the School to Work campaign. This is such a great initiative and I hope that schools, wether of private or public nature, will realize the importance of such foundations for the future of the companies and the self confidence of their future employees.
Amazing work, Afzal Hussein.
Great to see more being done for young people! Students should have the opportunity to learn how to put together a CV, how to apply for jobs and develop interview skills at school.
Afzal!! That's outstanding Sir!! Those that are 18 and up can be even more prepared for life in terms of entrepreneurship and learning how to save in gold including yourself
