1. Why are you leaving your current company? 2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years ? 3. Why should we hire you ? 4. What are your weaknesses ? In case you have not noticed, good people hate these questions. Replace these questions above with: 1. Here is why you should join our company 2. Here is where we see you in 5 years 3. What else is important to you to make a decision to join us ? If we want to hire smart people, we should stop asking stupid questions. And we should stop this: https://lnkd.in/erpfcAu -- shocking boss!:?https://lnkd.in/gs7-Agy

Actually ‘bad questions’ say a great deal about the panel and the organisation as a whole.? Everyone knows that asking ?a person about their 2-5year plan in a job yet to be undertaken for instance is quite dependent upon the opptunities that the organisation is capable of offering.? The worst part of it all is that though the interviewer may be vetting for suitable ?candidates , it is almost forgotten that the potential employee also uses the process to glean some ?ideas about the level of ignorance within that place of work. Isn’t it time that straight talk replace all the trick questions; or is the aim to ?add another one who is capable of playing games to the fold? Good luck!

Oleg, My first interview for a management position seemed more like a cross examination. The environment was not inviting nor did I feel appreciated for my past performance. The rule of not asking stupid questions during an interview is very true. The negativity of such questions clearly sets an example of future dealings and the lack of support. There are less interview questions in fact it is more popular for tech companies implementing interview games. The interview process is very time consuming for both sides. Working for a tech company might not be for everyone or is the free beer on Friday really the attraction? Is it that important to type 100 wpm? Strong communication skills, empathy with customers and building long lasting relationships is more a weakness in tech companies. Diversity it's the new word but it's just a word. Where is the so called diversity in tech companies? More needs to be done a well mixed workforce and exchanging knowledge will help a business. The mindset matters!

I think instead of asking ' weaknesses' , the question can be framed as ' what are the traits you want to improve in your character positively'.
