Revealing the 10 books and authors who have had a profound impact on the writing of my first book in 2024. The insights from these books and meeting SCOTT Olu?waf??mi TAYLOR Douglas Laney John Boccuzzi, Jr. in NYC gave me so much inspiration to keep going when writing got difficult… (see why NYC made me all emotional last week now?!) Some of these books I’ve highlighted in previous reviews so I won’t repeat, but the one that I haven’t done a proper review but deserves one now is Elaine Lin Hering’s book. I rarely come across a book that I cannot put down and this is it! Every single sentence resonated deeply with me and I remember staying up until 1am bc I lost track of time reading her book. Karen Eber’s book did that for me last year too. So I’ve purchased both of these fantastic authors’ books as Christmas gift for friends. If you work in people analytics and you haven’t read this book by David Green ???? Jonathan Ferrar, you are seriously missing out. Have you read any of these 10? Share your reactions with us if you have. And I’m always taking recommendations! Data With Serena??
Many thanks for including my work!
This is an excellent recommendation list! And I really appreciated Hilke Schellmann 's talk at WashU in April about algorithmic bias in hiring.
A great list of reading!
