When you've lost your steam at work
Professional life during a pandemic can feel like running a marathon, with no clear end in sight. It's a recipe for heightened stress and burnout. University of Texas at Austin's Art Markman offers a few ways we can replenish our reserves. Markman suggests we break our large projects down into small pieces, giving us a sense of incremental progress. We can also cut ourselves some slack and focus on getting started, not achieving perfection. We can always refine our work later. And it never hurts to turn to others, whether it's for a second pair of eyes or some company.
