US home prices hit four-year high

Home prices recorded their biggest gain in four years in February, rising almost 9%, according to Bloomberg, with average prices in larger cities hitting $285,700. Mortgage rates are also at a four-year high. However, the amount of homes for sale fell 11.4% from the previous year, helping to drive up prices — alongside the strong job market that's introducing more buyers to the market, said Bloomberg.
