GM talks take 'turn for the worse'

General Motors idled another plant in Mexico as a strike against the carmaker by the United Auto Workers entered its fourth week. GM has furloughed about 10,000 non-union workers throughout North America, while some 46,000 are on strike in the U.S. The UAW, meanwhile, said talks aimed at ending the stoppage had stalled as the company reverted to an already rejected proposal. So far, GM has lost more than $1 billion in earnings as a result of the strike, according to Bloomberg.
