T-Mobile wants to disrupt Big Cable
T-Mobile has announced its first foray into the television industry, unveiling its new home service called TVision Home. Viewers will pay $90/month for over 150 channels, much like existing high-end pay TV packages, according to Fortune. The move comes after T-Mobile's acquisition of Layer3 TV in 2017, when it promised to disrupt "Big Cable." Its service could appeal to consumers who want a bit more flexibility than they get with cable, allowing them to add subscriptions to premium channels like HBO and Showtime and access online streaming apps.

I love T-Mobile for being the "uncarrier"? but this is essentially cable 'rebranded.'? ?The whole point of cord cutting is to save money.? $90 for T-Mobile cable plus the cost of internet ($60) is $150, which is the same prices as cable across most of the United States.? And getting nickle and dimed to rent a cable box is icing on the cake. Other services, like Sling, YouTube, PSVue and Hulu are all under $50/month with Sling coming in at $25/month.
