Swiggy may buy Uber Eats: Report
Uber is looking to sell its India food delivery business ahead of a planned IPO later this year, Times of India reports, citing sources. Swiggy is leading the talks to buy out Uber Eats, though rival Zomato is also in the fray. The transaction will likely be a share swap deal, the sources said, adding the business could be valued over $500 million. Uber Eats – which is vying for a distant third spot in the food delivery segment – was losing $15-20 million in India late last year, an investor told the publication.

It's very disappointing to me that Uber Eats has to be sold to Swiggy. Uber Eats is the only application that is accessible to a person with print disability and uses assistive technology called a screen reader. Neither Zomato OR Swiggy have made any attempts to make their application accessible to screen reader users. Zomato boasted inclusion so loudly when it started listing wheel chair accessible restaurants but is a totally disappointment to users like myself. Swiggy keeps giving us lip service on improving accessibility and feel will continue to do so in the future überSwiggy Food delivery?
