Spotify slightly off-key
Spotify narrowly missed its subscriber target for the last quarter. The Swedish music-streaming service welcomed 8 million new paid subscribers, taking its total to 108 million, but was approximately 500,000 short of its forecast. Spotify remains the most popular music streaming site in the world; Apple has 60 million paid subscribers, while Amazon has signed up 32 million people to its music services, according to the Financial Times.

I? could be very wrong here, but? I would say the reason is not enough focus on different B2B and B2C models that can guard revenue. I sold? royalty-free music rights at Getty B2B and that was decent business.? I don't know that enough has been made of the blockchain set up that might differentiate too? in B2B as dealing with copyright etc was a huge pain for anyone selling non royalty free media when I was doing it and it seems like digital is not so much transforming as gradually pushing B2B players who won't evolve towards a cliff in a lemming-style scenario. Oh and? Spotify was an MBA? strategy case study? for people the year before me... I got McDonalds instead:-)
