Qatar to pay private sector salaries
Qatar will temporarily support the salaries of both nationals and foreign employees in the private sector to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 spread on businesses.

The government of Qatar is stepping in to help the businesses that have been affected by anti-virus measures. Private companies incorporated in Qatar are now eligible for salary support from the government for a period of three months. The government will temporarily pay both salaries of nationals and foreign employees. The $820 million program will also provide support to companies that haven’t seen their rent waived.
