Online dating ... but for jobs
Job seekers may fear the introduction of technology into the hiring process, but — just like online matchmaking sites — artificial intelligence has the ability to pair people with work based on their strengths and weaknesses. Pymetrics CEO Frida Polli explains in the latest edition of Get Hired that artificial intelligence can be used to overcome many of its problems. Those include:
- Matching people with the right jobs — not just the ones they applied to
- Increasing diversity by overcoming recruiter biases
- Helping workers reskill for new careers

Not a good idea to let a machine decide on the best candidates. Don’t test people. Don’t look for patterns. Doing all of these things using AI is akin to performance reviews.
