Musk's Boring Company opens tunnel
After much anticipation, Elon Musk’s Boring Company unveiled its first tunnel on Tuesday. Originally scheduled to open Dec. 10, the 2-mile section of the Hawthorne tunnel begins at the parking lot of Musk's rocket company, SpaceX, and will serve as a “research and development project.”
- The Boring Company is ultimately planning to build an underground “Hyperloop” transit system between major cities in California.
