Money major stressor for couples
One in four Indians feel their partner is secretive about money, leading to arguments, according to an online survey by ET Wealth that received 550 responses. But the biggest cause of financial discord among couples is overspending (41.3%), followed by its opposite – too much frugality (37.1%). Financial support to friends and relatives is the third most common reason. Worryingly, few young people debate the investment choices of their partners, suggesting poor financial planning. Earlier, an HSBC survey showed that two in three Indians do not save regularly for retirement.
