McDonald’s announced the departure of a second executive, Chief People Officer David Fairhurst, following the firing of its CEO for dating another employee. Steve Easterbrook has left with six months of severance and $37 million in stock awards, in exchange for agreeing not to work for a competitor for two years. Chris Kempczinski, former head of U.S. operations, has replaced Easterbrook, who was widely credited with reviving the company's fortune during a tenure marked by technological innovation.
