Juul job cuts climb the ranks
The shakeup at Juul Labs continued on Tuesday, with its new CEO replacing the CFO hours after announcing plans to slash 500 jobs, or 15%, of the e-cigarette maker's workforce. K.C. Crosthwaite, a former executive at Juul investor Altria, also announced the departure of other executives as part of a broader “reset in the vapor category.” Juul is facing multiple government and retailer bans on its flavored e-cigarettes popular with teens, as well as litigation and investigations amid mounting cases of vaping-related lung illnesses.
