Do hiring managers mind the gap?
Trying to rejoin the workforce after months or years away can be intimidating. Hannah Morgan, founder of CareerSherpa.net, said in the most-recent edition of #GetHired that people looking for work after time away should decide what type of job they want. They should look at the skills they’re using on boards or at nonprofit to fill out their resumes and profiles. Additionally, they should work their networks to help them get their feet in the doors of companies where they want to work.

I have heard so many women say that they have to limit the amount of time that they stay home after having kids, because they do not want that time to be a catalyst to either losing their current job, or a hindrance to them getting another job in the future.? It's very sad to hear that!?? I think that a potential solution to this is taking that time off in a mindful and strategic manner.? Meaning, HAVE A PLAN, and continue to work that plan while NOT in a traditional job.? That could be maintaining a part-time role, nurturing your sphere of influence (network), or taking classes to keep you up to date in the latest technology.??
