How to conquer procrastination
Struggling with procrastination? Resist the urge to force yourself to get to work. Instead, psychologist Neil Fiore recommends that you use your calendar to plan activities that bring you joy and help you recharge, according to BBC Capital. Such “unscheduling” gives us a sense of control over our lives and creates moments that we can look forward to. It also leaves plenty of blank spaces in our calendar that can be devoted to work. Fiore recommends you approach these tasks in small doses, like 15-minute increments.

I am no expert, but have procrastinated with things in life, for sure (both professionally and personally). Here is my take on it: I agree that procrastination is not a time management issue. I believe there are several root causes. 1. We feel forced to do something we don't truly believe in and feel like we have no voice to oppose. 2. We feel the work we'll do will be undervalued or ridiculed. 3. We feel overly pressured with all work and "everything" gets a top-priority assignment, so there is no natural order to things. 4. We are in an environment where there is no such thing as "too many hours" (in fact higher than normal is celebrated), and free time is met with punitive behavior. 5. We work in a micro-managed environment
