Hiring problems? Look internally
If you’ve ever job-hunted, you’ve probably put a lot of thought and effort into each company’s hiring process — however, those companies might not do the same. A recent survey by Wharton professor Peter Capelli found that only a third of American companies evaluate their recruiting processes, and the majority of new employees are hired externally. These ineffective and inefficient habits have resulted in new employees that may not be the best fit and who need extra training. Want to avoid that? Hire internally first and reflect critically on your recruitment processes. If everyone gets on board with his plan, we could save time and resources, and our teams would be happier and more productive.
