Glencore probed over bribery
The world’s biggest commodities trader is under investigation over suspicions of bribery. The UK’s Serious Fraud Office says it has opened a probe into Glencore, which is headquartered in Baar, Switzerland and operates in more than 50 countries. It’s the latest setback for the €35 billion company, which is already facing corruption probes in the US and Brazil. Billionaire chief executive Ivan Glasenberg hinted earlier this week that he might leave the company sooner than expected.
