F&B outlets get 20% rent refund

Restaurants, food and beverages outlets, and tourist and entertainment facilities are getting a 20% rent refund, the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi announced, as a way to help relieve some of the Covid-19 pressure on businesses. Other measures include allocating Dh5 billion for water and electricity subsidies for commercial sector and citizens. Calls are rising from retailers and residents in the UAE to reduce and negotiate rent under the current economic crisis.
