Despite recent controversy over privacy concerns, Facebook has had a very strong first quarter, reports The New York Times. The social media giant saw a 63% jump in profit and a 49% increase in revenue, thanks to mobile advertising which now accounts for more than 90% of its advertising revenue, reports The Wall Street Journal. An increase of 70 million more monthly users during the first three months of 2018 saw total users now number 2.2 billion.
