Facebook Dating launches
With 200 million of its users identifying as single, Facebook is getting into the matchmaking game. The social media platform launched its new dating vertical called Facebook Dating, in Colombia. Facebook users aged 18 and older will be able to create dating profiles, reports Wired. Although Facebook's dating service is currently free, it may look at the success of Tinder, which makes most of its money off subscriptions — the dating app is predicted to make $800 million in 2018, says Recode.
