India’s new draft ecommerce policy could help buyers, Quartz reports. That’s because it outlines strong anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy measures and asks etailers to list relevant seller details on their portals. Brick-and-mortar retailers are likely to get respite from ecommerce firms’ “predatory pricing,” which according to CRISIL will boost their FY20 revenue by a massive ?10,000-12,000 crore. Ecommerce majors Amazon and Flipkart face pivotal decisions around how to store and share data even as their sales fall and losses mount.
