Easyjet defends football price surge
EasyJet's top boss has defended the airline's high ticket prices around the Champions League final following a raft of customer complains. Flights to Madrid around the 1 June match were said to cost £1,000 compared to £250 normally. Price rises in response to surges in demand are "how the system works", the airline's Johan Lundgren said, pointing to a dynamic pricing model. At peak times, EasyJet could book an entire plane worth of seats in six seconds, he added.

Has always been a demand and supply game, however with enormous losses this year and the last easyJet needs to create out of the box ideas to maintain brand loyalty and think of long term investments rather than quick unsustainable wins from a major event like champion league.
