“Historic labor shortages” is hyperbolic. The US is definitely experiencing the best job market since 2007, and *maybe* the best since 2001. But we’re still pretty far away from what we saw 20 years ago during the apex of the 90s boom. Plenty of locations across the United States have elevated unemployment and available workers.? There's probably still room - maybe a lot of room - to boost employment and pay without triggering inflationary pressures.
