Comcast outbids Fox for Sky

British broadcaster Sky says it's “withdrawing its recommendation for the Fox bid,” following Comcast’s counteroffer of $31 billion, reports the BBC. Sky had already agreed to the lower Fox offer of just over $26 billion for the 61% of the company it does not already own. Comcast owns NBC Universal, as well as Universal Pictures.
