Proud to work for a company that is taking a stand on climate change. This Friday, alongside my colleagues, I will be at the #climatestrike walking for current and future generations. Our home is on fire, and we must act.

This pretty much lays out the agenda.

I had the pleasure and honor this weekend of attending the UN Climate Action Summit. Amazing panelists covering topics from the science behind the 1.5 C target to the actions that cities can take to lead the way in addressing climate change. So impressive and humbling to see what others around the world have committed to and are accomplishing right now. The USA, as a nation, is not leading in action, but we should be - for our own benefit. I also got to attend the NYC climate strike on Friday and see Greta Thunberg speak in person - as usual on point and succinct. I hope to share some deeper thoughts after digestion of the weekend. And a huge shout out to the UN translators - was amazing to experience in person (and totally necessary for this pathetic America monolinguist). #climateactionsummit #climatestrike #standwithgreta #cities #buildings

Today was a big day for the team I work with at IIED. For the past year or so we have been working closely with the group of 47 Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to develop their strategy to adapt to climate change and to advocate for improved attention to the extreme challenges they face as a result of the climate change that they are already experiencing. This strategy is captured in the LDC Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience or LIFEAR. Today the Chair of the LDC Group, the Secretary of Environment from Bhutan launched the initiative at a press conference at the UN Climate Summit in an effort to raise $90 billion over the next 10 years.
