Thomas Cook employees say goodbye

Today my husband and I both lost our jobs. We have worked at Thomas Cook for a combined total of 38 years. We were both passionate about our jobs and loyal to the airline and we are both shocked to the core and deeply saddened. However, we have both experienced so much, made memories, friends for life and learnt so many valuable lessons. A new chapter is starting for so many people tonight, it might not be easy but be positive, be a good person, be your best self and good things will rise as a legacy. I'm a true Believer that you can do anything if you set your mind to it. To the future ????????♀?

After nearly 4 years at Thomas Cook like so many others yesterday my career came to an abrupt end. It was a very emotional day seeing friends and colleagues that had given so much to a business having to say goodbye. A weeks work experience at Thomas Cook turned into the best 4 years of my life. 4 unforgettable years ranging from capturing backstage footage at a music festival with the social media team, to cycling from Peterborough to Paris raising over ￡100k for the TCCC. I’ve been trying to sum up all the amazing opportunities I’ve been lucky enough to have in this post, but quite frankly you would be reading all day. The people I’ve worked with really have shaped who I am today, and I’ll be forever grateful of how welcoming & supportive everyone has been. This morning I wake up thankful to #thomascook and its employees for giving me a great start to my career in Travel. I have met so many wonderful people who have pushed me to achieve my best.
