Booze has a shelf life: Delhi
The Delhi government wants hotels and restaurants to destroy unsold alcohol in a matter of days. Beers, wines and champagnes must be stored on bar counters for just three days while hard liquor can be kept for 5-8 days depending on the bottle price, the state’s missive states. Delhi says the move will prevent pilferage and adulteration, but bar owners expect it to send at least ?20 lakh worth of spirits down the drain every month.
