Beirut explosion: Ways to help

Today was a hard day for my beloved country Lebanon , Not only people were going through a crazy economic crisis but today they lost their home , family and friends, people got injured, innocent people were killed and some of them went missing... A tragedy. As my heart aches just talking about it , today there was two explosions that occurred in Beirut. After a devastating explosion in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, children and families already facing COVID-19, as well as economic and political crisis, are more vulnerable than ever. Save the Children field workers report that entire streets have been wiped out by the explosion and many children are missing or looking for their parents. The explosion couldn't have happened at a worse time, as the country is already facing increasing likelihood of severe food insecurity, rising unemployment, increased rates of poverty, and more. Shock and despair in Beirut as two explosion devastates city — the second one much larger than the first, carrying enough force to overturn cars, damage and shake buildings across the city and strew, debris over a wide area. Men, women and children are bewildered, many have abandoned what is remained of their homes. Hospitals have reached full capacity and they are treating some of the minor injuries on the balconies or on the side roads of the hospitals. Images from the explosion in Beirut today left us speechless. Many people have been injured, and the death toll is uncertain at this point. The Lebanese Red Cross has deployed over 75 ambulances and 375 EMTs to help evacuate and care for those affected. https://lnkd.in/gTBNjmG
