Boeing wins massive MAX jet order

Boeing's troubled 737 Max just got a big show of faith from one of the world's biggest airline groups. International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia, announced at the Paris Air Show that it intends to buy 200 737 Max jets. Boeing confirmed to me that it is the first order since March, when the jets were grounded around the world, and it comes as a big boost to Boeing that spent its first day at the air show talking about the 737 Max while Airbus announced a new plane and new orders. Little too late in the day for Boeing's CEO to be issuing a mea culpa. What else has Boeing not told the world about? In any case, I find it hard to believe that 737 MAX will ever fly again. It will be tough to gain public trust.
