There's been some bashing of Demand Generation in our corner of LinkedIn, with some notable marketers claiming:
+ Demand Gen and Lead Gen are the same
+ Demand Gen marketers know nothing about brand building
That 'brand awareness' attempts are just "product-heavy 'Lead Nurturing' cadences with CTAs and points-based Lead Scoring."
Is there really any merit to this, or is it just a narrative that fits their own agenda?
After all the progress we've made in Demand Generation the last few years, do we really need to say it is 'DEAD'?
