参与Creating appearance-inclusive workplaces体验活动简介
Creating an inclusive workplace not only means people feel happier and comfortable being themselves;it also improves productivity and job satisfaction. For people living with a visible difference, bias in the workplace can be difficult to address, and employers may not know how best to proactively support their workers.
Research from Hannah Saunders at Queen Mary London School of Law highlights some of the ways employers can ensure they are supporting people living with visible differences, from auditing job ads and hiring processes, to providing regular training and avoiding assumptions.
Laura Mathias, alopecia awareness campaigner, and Phyllida Swift, CEO of charity Face Equality International, will join us for a LinkedIn Live to discuss the research and the experiences of people living with visible difference or disfigurement.
Join the Live on Wednesday 20 September at 12pm BST by clicking attend on this post.
Have you got experiences you'd like to share or questions around how to support colleagues or staff members? Drop them into the comments and we will look to answer them in the discussion.
