TikTok is Pushing Google Out
A new way to search for products online is coming to TikTok. The company has confirmed that it is testing a way for users to upload a photo of a product and browse a variety of options.
Let's say you're shopping and you come across an item you really love, but the price tag isn't so friendly. With TikTok's new feature, you can snap a photo of the product, and it will generate more options with different price points for you to choose from.
Sound familiar? That's because Google and Amazon already offer this search option on their platform and have for years.
TikTok has now decided to include photo search on its platform because its goal is to one day dominate the search engine space. I've got to say, they are pretty close. The only thing that may stop them now is the U.S. government.
