Thursdays Perceptions

Good Morning Friends,

?

Thursday is knocking on your door to let you know the week is coming to a close. I hope this email finds you in good health, well rested and ready to greet the day with a Positive Attitude. I hope you have?had many opportunities to share a kind word, a smile or a moment of laughter with those you have encountered this week.?Our opportunities are endless if we so choose; don’t let life’s challenges hold you back in fear, they are given to us to make us grow and be stronger than the days before. Be Thankful for who you are, where you are and what you can do to make a difference!

We find things where we look for them, which is why I never look for a golf ball out of bounds.?

PERCEPTIONS??

?

There were two brothers in a small village in the Eastern Cape. The twin brothers grew up knowing nothing else but poverty. Their father was an alcoholic and their mother a domestic worker. They grew up with very little.

On their way home one day, their parents were involved in a bus accident and died instantly. The brothers' condition became even worse. At age 17 they separated. Years and years later a family member decided to find them for a family reunion.

One of the brothers was a wealthy engineer owning a construction company. He had a wife and three beautiful kids. The other was an alcoholic with no sense of direction for his life.

The family member asked the engineer, "How did your life turn out like this?"

"What did you expect with a childhood like mine?" he answered.

She moved on to the other brother with the same question.

"What did you expect with a childhood like mine?" was his answer.

This tells us that, "men are not disturbed by the things that happened but by their perception of the things that happened".

Thursday’s funny……

The Garden Dance

A wealthy woman is giving a garden party with several well-to-do guests attending.

During the festivities, two gardeners are out on the back lawn working. As a guest watched…. one gardener was busy weeding when the other suddenly leaped high into the air, spun about, and gracefully swirled.

Taken by his grace, the guest remarked to the host, “That man is such a talented dancer, I’d pay him $500 to dance at my next party!”

When the host asked the first gardener about such an arrangement, he yelled, “Hey Louie! Do you think for $500 you could step on that rake again?’
