2024 NACD Summit: Where Governance and Inclusion Meet for a Stronger Future

The 2024 NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) Summit brought together over 1,500 governance professionals from across industries to learn, celebrate, and—most importantly—connect. This year's event provided a platform for directors and executives to engage in crucial discussions shaping the future of corporate governance. Key themes included the impact of the upcoming election, navigating geopolitical risks, and harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. With a focus on innovation, accountability, and inclusivity, the summit underscored the evolving role of boards in addressing today’s fast-paced and complex business landscape.

With the support of NACD, the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) played a pivotal role at the summit, hosting the largest gathering of its members to date. LCDA's strong presence highlighted the growing influence of Latino directors in corporate leadership.

The lineup including of the speakers including LCDA members, partners, and allies, driving change across various industries. Among the speakers were MainStage speakers: Juan Enriquez , Vilas Dhar , and Dominique Shelton Leipzig , along with Susan Angele (KPMG), Annalisa Barrett (KPMG), Stephen L. Brown (KPMG), Jan Koors , Jesús Mantas , Margot McShane (Russell Reynolds), John Rodi (KPMG), Amy Rojik , and Monica Vicente .

LCDA's CEO Ozzie (Oswaldo) Gromada Meza also participated in the NACD's Council for Inclusive Governance, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to ensuring diverse voices are represented in boardrooms. These discussions, especially around election outcomes and geopolitical instability, underscored the need for diverse, forward-looking governance.
