Our custom is to begin each month by celebrating the accomplishments of the month which preceded it. This time around, we hit a very pivotal number. The conclusion of July officially brings our team past the 100 mark for overdoses reversed through community outreach, resource distribution, and culture-informed education. Together, we have saved 100 lives, and counting. All thanks to one moment where someone in the community decided a loved one deserved to see tomorrow. We are in awe of everyone's bravery and motivated by everyone's resilience. Let's get through August, the rest of the year, and as much as humanly possible, so that we can all be safer together.

The past few months were so busy (don't worry - the productive kind) that we realized we left LinkedIn hanging without an update on how lovely May was to us. Read on to learn more about what got accomplished thanks to our spirited and unrelenting field staff. June recap in the days to come! Or head over to our other social media accounts if the anticipation is just too much.

As communities across the country mobilize for Giving Tuesday, we hope you'll consider making a contribution to our cause. Since our inception we've championed community care as a sustainable way to save lives for San Francisco's most underserved families. If you're into numbers, here are a few that capture our work: There are 226 Corsi-Rosenthal boxes in community homes filtering air and making it easier for everyone to breathe. Over 500 units of Naloxone, a medicine that reverses opioid overdose, are in the hands of those who need it most. Through street outreach we’ve given nearly 300 rapid tests for COVID-19 and 300 fentanyl test strips at no cost and with no catch. What stands out? 31 lives have been saved. 31 community members are still on this earth thanks to these resources. 31 parents, children, siblings, close friends, and community leaders can breathe deeper and live longer, thanks to a loved one who knew how to utilize the right tool at the right time. It takes one act of heroism to make this all possible. We're humbled to be trusted to perform these acts daily. We hope you'll enable us to continue these acts of heroism - and inspire others around you to make change in their own special way - as the day progresses and the year concludes. We thank you in advance for your generosity. #givingtuesday
