Sleeping on the clock- a remote company CEO's worst nightmare. ?? Let's talk about it. When energy Drink company Reign Storm surveyed a group of home workers, they discovered these statistics: ??1 in 10 Brits nap during work hours- in other words, that's 4.3 million people! ?? Across the UK, this could translate to approximately £500m a week lost in productivity. ??Napping was most common between 3-4pm. ?? 1 in 6 respondents admitted to arguing with a colleague because they were overtired. ?? And many have to call in sick due to tiredness! Whilst taking a sneaky nap without making up the hours is obviously wrong, there's a larger issue behind this. The benefits of remote working are the freedom to perform at your best. If your employees are so tired that they're having to call in sick, but don't feel like they can tell you- something's wrong. If somebody is productive, consistently hits targets and meets deadlines, is there actually any problem with them having a sleep to stay refreshed and make up the time later? ??? Do you nap during work hours? (We won't tell anyone...) ?? Or are you a CEO or manager with strong feelings about this? Drop your opinion in the comments. ??
