The amount of highs and lows experienced when building a #Startup can be exhausting at times... Over this past week, I’ve experienced the following ?? High: We LAUNCHED our latest feature, the #SideSearchBar and #CompanyResources, making it easier for people using Grapevine to share and find important information from team members. Find what you need, when you need it! High: "The #VirtualOfficePlatform seems interesting. Can you share more details?" ?? We booked a demo. High: "From one #Founder to another, I’m so intrigued by what you’re building. I’d love to connect and learn more about Grapevine!" ?? Another demo booked. High: The #DevelopmentTeam has given me positive updates on our next integration—we’ll be rolling it out soon. ?? Hint: It rhymes with 'Lack' ?? High: People are continuing to sign up for our 30-day free trial on our website. But there were also lows... Low: We were told it seems like we've just built a better mousetrap. ?? After seeking clarity, I realized I’m responsible for this interpretation, not the product, but it gave me room to reflect (my delivery and messaging). Low: We were told straight up that our intended #ICP wouldn’t buy, but the advice that followed was invaluable. Low: These two calls back-to-back knocked my mindset into a slump. But I've learned I need time to process feedback before I can reflect and see the truth. Why am I sharing this? Every high and low this week and in the months of building #Grapevine: Your Virtual Office Platform, sparked my mind to THINK. The only way to build a product people truly want is to step outside your own head and listen to your #ICP. If feedback doesn’t come from your target audience, don’t let it dictate decisions. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t reflect. It’s about identifying the core theme and seeing how it applies to your product. What trends stand out? What needs to adapt or change? How can you blend the highs and lows to create a WIN-WIN for your product, company, and customers? That’s the key: Training the mind to think and adopt a #GrowthMindset. Your effort can always be adapted or increased to get better results. Those lows happened on Wednesday. We adapted and scheduled two demos the very next day. Let your experiences guide you to the truth!
