In case you couldn't join us here are some key takeaways ?? Yesterday I moderated People-First Culture As Business Competitive Advantage as part of the Transform Spotlight Series. It was rich in new perspectives and insights so I wanted to share just a small part of what was unpacked by panellists. Takeaway 1?? Aim for Culture Add not Culture Fit to create different outcomes and impacts. Growth doesn't happen by selecting like for like. Takeaway 2?? Always start with knowing what problem or challenge you are wanting to solve first and understand why it's important. Ask why anyone would even be committed to solving this early on. And map it back to specific, measurable goals. Takeaway 3?? See story telling as a critical part of your role to be a positive influence in how people are experiencing their workplace reality. Make sure you are speaking the language of your people to make a genuine connection. This means understanding your people and their workolace reality. Takeaway 4?? Always be proactive in the messages you are giving your people - don't leave it up to your teams to make up their own stories. This leads to myths that are hard to undo and reshape. Takeaway 5?? Measure what matters and remember this will continue to evolve as does the business and the world in which it operates. Be across changes both in the business and beyond to make sure you're measuring data that makes an exponential difference. When you hear the term "people centric" what does that mean to you?I'd be interested to know if we are aligned - or not. Thank you Transform and Enrique Rubio (he/him) Rubio (he/him) for making this happen in our region. And all the panellists for being generous with your experiences.
