Let's talk about non-linear career paths. This is Kristen Faulkner who just won the US first road race gold ?? in 40 years. Kristen wasn't always an Olympic Cyclist. In fact, her focus was very much in my field of venture capital and startups. What inspires me about Kristen's choices and path, is that she was able to make bold career path decision and reinvent herself. In 2015, she graduated from Harvard University with a computer science degree. She then went for an an internship at Bridgewater Associates. between 2015-2018, she was a venture capitalist at Bessemer Venture Partners. She then joined Heidi Roizen's and Emily Melton Threshold Ventures as an investor. in 2020, she joined Team Tibco Silicon Valley Bank and going into cycling professionally.
