This is significant.?Free School Meal eligibility is now 24.6% (2.1 million) in 2023/24, up from 15.4% in 2018/19.?16% increase in council funded alternative provision placements since 2022/23. Latest poverty research stats from Loughborough University and End Child Poverty coalition Data shows 4.3 million children were in relative poverty, after housing costs – representing 30% of all children in 2022/23. 2/3 of parliamentary constituencies have a child poverty rate of 25% or more. Rates of child poverty at or above 25% are particularly prevalent in the North East, North West West Midlands and Wales. There is a strong positive correlation between child poverty and the two-child limit to benefit payments. ?? https://lnkd.in/esSXYgE8 ?? Research by UCL researchers (Max et al, 2024) reveals that adolescents with internet addiction experience significant brain changes that may lead to additional addictive behaviours and tendencies. The study reviewed 12 articles involving 237 young people aged 10-19 with a formal diagnosis of internet addiction from 2013 to 2023.
