It is hard to believe a quarter century has passed since I moved to New York City and began my unbelievable journey at Goldman Sachs. Time really does fly when you are having fun! I remember like it was yesterday - the trepidation during my first round interview, the elation upon receiving my dream offer (Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs!), the exhaustion at the announcement of my first public company merger, the camaraderie from colleagues and friends around the world as we worked to solve our clients’ and customers’ toughest problems, the exasperation from the countless delayed flights, the pride when I saw my mentees achieving their dreams, and the shock and awe of sitting in Management Committee for the first time. Through all of these experiences, and so many more, I developed the grit, resilience, and confidence that can only come from having done the almost impossible with people you respect and trust. ? Goldman Sachs is an astonishing institution made up of incredible individuals. I have had the privilege of working with thousands of them in almost every corner of the world. David Solomon, John Waldron, John Rogers, and Alison Mass (and so many other partners and friends), thank you for supporting me these last 25 years as I wrestled with new challenges and navigated life’s complexities. It is this support and friendship for which I am eternally grateful.?? ? And so now I embark on this new journey at another amazing institution with incredible individuals. I leap into this new chapter with the benefit of significant contemplation and research. More than anything else I want to do something that matters with world-class people and in an environment that fosters learning and creativity. I have had the privilege of doing that these last 25 years at Goldman Sachs and cannot wait for what lies ahead!
